Do you find it difficult getting to your GP surgery during normal hours? As part of our mission to improve patient care, HCL’s Enhanced Access Service means that patients registered at our member Practices can see clinicians in the evenings and at weekends. These appointments take place at two hubs in Westminster and also online.
HCL provides Enhanced Access hubs in the north and south of the borough:
You must be registered with an HCL member Practice to use this service.

Clinicians at our Enhanced Access hubs can help you with diagnosis, testing and treatment for various conditions, including:
If you need non-emergency medical care but can’t wait for an appointment, call NHS 111. If someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk, call 999.
Depending on your needs, you’ll be able to make an appointment with a GP, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist, Healthcare Assistant, or Practice Nurse.

To book an appointment at HCL’s Enhanced Access hubs, call your registered GP surgery.
Or, if your GP surgery is closed, call NHS 111. Enhanced Access has a referral requirement which your registered GP surgery is aware of. If Enhanced Access is an appropriate service following your call with NHS 111, they will inform you.
Unfortunately, walk-in appointments are not available.
You’ll receive a text message reminder about your appointment. If you’re unable to attend your appointment, please call 020 3884 9637. For any appointment enquiries, patients can email hcl.hclenhancedaccess@nhs.net.

When you make an appointment at one of HCL’s Enhanced Access hubs, you’ll be asked for consent to share your medical records with clinicians at the hub to aid their diagnosis and treatment. If you choose not to consent, we’ll recommend that you see your own GP during normal hours.
Your GP will be able to see details of your Enhanced Access hub appointment on your medical records. If you require a prescription, this will usually be sent directly to your nominated pharmacy unless you advise the clinician otherwise. We’ll send you a text message asking for feedback about your appointment so we can continue to improve this out of hours service.
